Located in Lusby, Maryland along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Exelon’s Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant services nearly 1,000,000 homes in its local region and its two nuclear reactors produce 1,756 megawatts of zero-emissions energy. Nuclear power plants, by their very nature, require near perfect levels of quality assurance, productivity and security and Calvert Cliffs was no exception. The plant needed a new tracking enterprise for its technical instruments used by its employees for maintenance work.

We installed an RFID system along with our RMS platform to track nearly 3,000 tools and instruments for over 100 employees at the plant. Our system, still in use today, auto calculates certificate dates, and automatically assigns tools to workers resulting in accurate and efficient quality assurance and productivity procedures for the power plant.
