File Attachments
Email is not designed to transfer large amounts of data in email body size or file attachments. Read this article to learn more. There is no standard for email size. Every server is free to implement its standard, but it’s a good idea to keep your email body anywhere from 15 KB to 100 KB and your attachments smaller than 10MB. Adhering to these specifications helps keep you from running afoul of SPAM filters. Many servers also limit the size of incoming messages.
If you need to send large emails, it’s important to use a file-sharing service. These services allow users to upload files and include a link to these files in an email. There are many free options, including Socius. If you use our email server, contact us to set up a free account on our business management platform and read our file-sharing manual.
